First Friday Reception — The Merit Show

Every first Friday, the Port Aransas Art Center comes alive with an evening worth stepping off the sand for. Local and regional artists fill the gallery, live music drifts through the room, and cold refreshments make it easy to linger a little longer over the work on the walls. The Merit Show brings it all together with an extra layer of artistic intention — a curated celebration of standout work from the community's creative voices. After an evening surrounded by art and live music just minutes from the shore, there's something especially sweet about wandering back to Beached Inn, rinsing the night off under an outdoor shower, and settling into the porch with the Gulf breeze rolling in.
